Shulah Oliver is a vibrant & talented professional violinist/violist & founder of Selina Bella Strings. She completed her Masters Degree in Performance with Distinction at the world renowned Royal Academy of Music, London & was awarded the Diploma of the Royal Academy of Music for an outstanding Final Recital. She has been a finalist & highly commended in competitions including Haverhill Sinfonia Soloist Competition, Delius Prize, Wilfred Parry Prize, Winifred Small Prize & Sir Arthur Bliss Prize, & received the John Mundy & D-Day Fund Prize Awards. Shulah is a well-respected soloist who is regularly invited to perform concertos & give recitals around the U.K & Europe. In 2014 Shulah was invited to perform in Sri Lanka in the presence of the Sri Lankan Prime Minister. She is a sought after chamber musician including lead violinist of the Astaria String Quartet, Fordante & Duo Armande. As a soloist & ensemble member she has performed in major European concert halls including Royal Albert Hall, Concertgebouw, Konzerthaus Berlin, Bridgewater Hall & Symphony Hall & at festivals such as the Paganini London Festival, Norfolk & Norwich & Worcester Festival. Although Shulah’s main work is as a violinist, she is also a flautist & singer & can offer these as alternatives during the signing of the register. Shulah is an experienced singer having been a member of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain & Laudibus the National Youth Chamber Choir. Shulah regularly sings with a local chamber choir, often taking on the part of soloist in concerts. She has gained her Advanced Certificate & won many prizes at local festivals on both voice & flute.
